Coming January 1, 2027
In June 2025, the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CDSS) President, Dr. Michael Fowler, announced that
CDSS will transition to a single regulatory mandate effective January 1, 2027.
The Saskatchewan Dental Association will provide advocacy, professional promotion, and member services, creating a
clear distinction between regulatory oversight and professional representation. This change is designed to strengthen
public protection while enabling the SDA to focus fully on supporting, promoting, and advocating for the dental
profession in Saskatchewan.
Our Team
Dr. Garret Michael Prestie, DMD
President
Dr. Prestie graduated from with a DMD from the University of Saskatchewan in 1998. He has practiced in Moose Jaw since and is currently owner/partner of the group practice Hillcrest Dental.
Dr. Prestie served on the CDSS council starting in 2001 as member of the mediation committee, then a board member from 2008 until 2017 when he finished his term as President. He continues to serve the CDSS as a member of the economics committee. Nationally he was the CDSS representative on the Canadian Dental Association Board from 2017 – 2020 and currently participates on the corporate member council to CDSPI as Saskatchewan’s representative.
Dr. Prestie’s knowledge at both the provincial and national levels will greatly support the SDA during its formation.
Dr. On Cho, DMD
President-Elect
On was born in South Korea and raised in Moose Jaw, SK. He completed his undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) and DMD at the University of Saskatchewan in 2021. He has special interest in implant dentistry, minor oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys outdoors-hiking, camping and running.
On looks forward to serving on the Board of Directors and being part of the formation of SDA.
Dr. Amanda Beaudry, DMD, B.Ed, MBA
Director
Amanda was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. At the University of Saskatchewan, Amanda completed her Bachelor of Education before entering the College of Dentistry. Amanda furthered her education by attaining her Masters of Business Administration at the U of S in 2021. Currently, Amanda works at YXE Dental. In her spare time Amanda loves to travel, practise pilates & yoga, and considers herself a "foodie".
Amanda looks forward to her new role as part of the Saskatchewan Dental Association board.
Dr. Craig Humber, DMD, MSC, GPR, OMFS, FRCDC, Dipl ABOMS
Director
Dr. Craig Humber was born and raised in central Ontario. He initially attended the University of Guelph where he graduated with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in chemistry. He then attended the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated with his D.M.D in 2004. He completed a general practice residency (GPR) at the University of British Columbia in 2005. He subsequently graduated from the University of Toronto with an M.Sc. and a specialty certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009.
Dr. Humber entered full-time private practice at Saskatoon Oral Surgery in 2009. Although he enjoys practicing all aspects of oral surgery, Dr. Humber’s main surgical interests are in implant dentistry, orthognathic surgery and secondary cleft palate surgery. Dr. Humber is proudly part of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team for central and northern Saskatchewan.
Craig, his wife Heather, and their three boys are involved in many youth sporting activities in Saskatoon. In conjunction with a busy family life, Craig enjoys an annual ski trip with his family, relaxing at their cottage in Ontario and, of course, spending time with his two boxer dogs, Frankie and Stanley.
Craig served on the council of the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan and was President in 2021. He was a member of the CDSS Professional Standards, Economics and Governance Committees and was pivotal in the creation of the Saskatchewan Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons Association working with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Hilary Stevens, DMD
Director
Dr. Hilary Stevens graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2004 with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine, and then completed a General Practice Residency at the Royal University Hospital in 2005.
For over 20 years, Dr. Stevens has been practicing general dentistry in both a private practice setting and in the operating room as a practitioner with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. For the past number of years, Dr. Stevens practice has been primarily focused on treating pediatric and special health care needs patients, and in 2025 she joined Saskatoon Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Hilary Stevens is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and served on the Board of Directors for the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan for over ten years and was President in 2018.
Born and raised in Regina, Hilary now calls Saskatoon home. She enjoys time at the lake with her husband, Jay, and their three children, two girls and a boy.
Nicole Norton Scott, BBA, CPHR
Executive Director
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources and the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation. She was CEO and Registrar for the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) Saskatchewan, for nearly 13 years. During her tenure, she successfully advanced the organization through many strategic initiatives. One of her greatest accomplishments was leading CPHR Saskatchewan to achieve Self-Regulation in May 2021. Previous work includes various HR and Operations roles in both the public and private sectors.
Given her background in Association management, Board governance, and strategic operations, she is excited for this role and to work with the Board to advance the work of the Saskatchewan Dental Association.
